Papago Gateway Center

Papago Gateway Center was developed to serve both life sciences companies and corporate office users, providing a flexible environment that accommodates specialized laboratory functions alongside Class A office space. Located within Tempe’s growing biotechnology corridor, the project supports innovation, research, and business growth through a combination of workplace and laboratory environments.
The facility required coordination of office and biotechnology infrastructure to support a diverse range of tenant needs while maintaining operational efficiency and long-term flexibility. A high-performance building envelope incorporates a double-skin louver system that enhances shading and energy efficiency, contributing to overall building performance and occupant comfort.
As the City of Tempe’s first LEED-certified office building, the project established a new benchmark for sustainable commercial development in the area. The completed facility achieved LEED Gold certification, exceeding initial sustainability targets and creating lasting value for tenants, the community, and the region’s expanding life sciences sector.
